Administrators are in charge of operating GameFAQs, controlling everything from its contributions to the message boards. Unlike moderators, administrators are paid employees of CBS Interactive, the owners of GameFAQs. The current full-time administrator of GameFAQs is Allen "SBAllen" Tyner (formerly Sailor Bacon); he replaced his former co-worker and founder of the site, Jeff "CJayC" Veasey. While other people have had administrator accounts for various reasons, traditionally, the site has been overseen by either Veasey, Tyner, or from 2004 until 2007, both individuals.
Administrators have a user level of 60, which grants them access to every feature on the site. Additionally, a second administrative level exists: Level 70, Data Administrator. There are no known functional differences between the two user levels. They exist solely to distinguish between individuals who assist in the day-to-day operations of GameFAQs (level 60) and those who deal with maintaining the site's coding and databases (level 70).

Duties
Contributions
As contributions are the primary focus of the website, an administrator will often spend much of their time reviewing submissions and fielding problem reports for accepted contributions. They also handle all contributor information changes, making sure that the requested amendments are acceptable and in accordance with the site's standards. Finally, administrators also deal with contribution profile merge requests from users who have multiple aliases for contributing.
Feedback
Administrators are the only users who can read and respond to feedback submitted by the site's visitors. They can disregard a feedback ticket by marking it as "read" (indicating that no further action is necessary or appropriate), file it for later perusal, or hold further correspondence with the submitter.
Boards
While the moderation staff is generally held responsible for watching over most aspects of the message boards, administrators obviously play a role in supervising. While moderators can suspend problematic users, administrators are the only people capable of issuing a ban, usermap axe, or purgatory. Furthermore, administrators also serve as the final authority in the moderation dispute process: as one would expect, they handle all appeals to the administrators. Additionally, they are also responsible for reviewing any disputes that have been forwarded for abuse.
Administrators can also make important declarations on Message Board Announcements. These announcements can pertain to anything relating to the site, be it contributions, user account issues, new site features, or rule changes.
