Ban

A ban is the second-worst punishment offered by GameFAQs, behind a usermap axe. An account ban effectively disables an account from posting on or viewing the GameFAQs message boards. Most bans come as a result of an account being suspended for one or more major Terms of Service violations. All bans are dealt solely by the administation staff. Almost all bans are final.

While bans can be overturned, in reality, only bannings of users that had mistakenly been identified as underage have much chance to be overturned. Those users that wish to reverse an underage ban have to fill out a feedback form and provide proof of their age.

Many users believe an IP ban exists on GameFAQs but it does not.
