First Moderation Wave
The famous "Ask a stupid question get a stupid answer DUCK HUNT STYLE" Got modded and a lot of other topics also got modded. The users still stayed, but attempted to be a little more on-topic with their discussion.
Evacuation
A few weeks after the first wave, the moderators started to watch the board and delete topics nearly as soon as they were created. Cheeseaholic decided that to survive, the Duck Hunters had to move. So he asked Dragon Wang if they could colonize the board, and after a few days they got permission.
Dragon Wang Alliance
In April 2006, the users of the Duck Hunt board took refuge at the Dragon Wang board when the frequency of moderations on the Duck Hunt board became too high for them to carry on posting there. On the new board, the indentify themselves as Duck Hunters, or DHers for short. Together they form the "Duck/Wang Alliance".
Interestingly, a few of the Duck Hunters continue to post on the Duck Hunt board, but not in large enough numbers to incur massive levels of moderation. It is generally hoped among Duck Hunters that they may all once return to the Duck Hunt board, when the moderators lose interest in the almost empty board.
Hope?
Around October 2006 almost all moderator activity on Duck Hunt ceased. Since then there has been almost no moderations, even though activity on the board has risen slightly recently.
New Wave
Ever since the activity of moderation ceased, new users have flooded to the board, raising the activity a little further. A few old members are also beginning to come back.
