The Feedback System (found here) is the administrator's way of learning how to better GameFAQs through suggestions from users. It is also a means of reporting account problems such as unfair bannings, or problems within the site's coding. Once a ticket is filled out, the user will be given a number which will in turn be looked at by SBAllen.
The feedback system has replaced the old way of getting in touch with GameFAQs through a set of e-mail addresses and has resulted in considerably faster and more reliable handling of feedback. One of the main advantages is that a system like this is not susceptible to being spammed. When the feedback system was introduced, all options to contact the GameFAQs administration through e-mail were discontinued, much to the frustration of some users who wish to contact them about other things than the feedback system provides for (most specifically, complaints about moderations).
Feedback Ticket Status
Once created, the Feedback Ticket Status displays the current situation of the feedback ticket. Depending on the circumstances, it can be any of the following:
- Your feedback has been sent but not yet responded to by GameFAQs.
- Your message has been "filed" away for future perusal.
- This feedback ticket was marked as "duplicate" when you opened more than one at once.
- Your message has been read by GameFAQs. No action is required.
- The issue you reported has been entered into our internal development/bug queue for future work.
- The issue you reported has either been resolved or cannot be resolved based on the information you provided.
- This feedback has been pulled by the submitter
- Bad App
- Your moderator application has been rejected for failing to meet all criteria; you will not be able to re-apply for 60 days.
- Bad Form
- You used a message form for a purpose unrelated to that form's purpose. Because of this, you will not be able to create any additional feedback tickets for one week.
- This is an abuse of the feedback form. You may no longer submit feedback tickets.
- Response Needed
