Garibaldi is a former GameFAQs moderator who was selected in the 5th Batch of moderators in July 2002. His original account was Garibaldi84, which originally had the most karma out of any account. In January 2003, he dropped off the top spot on the highest karma list and closed his Garibaldi84 account in April 2003.
Account Hijacking
On May 22, 2008, Garibaldi's account was "hacked" and used to suspend any users who were unfortunate enough to appear in the moderation queue, make offensive topics on LUE and Current Events, and to delete most of the site's useful sticky topics. Due to moderator account's immunity to suspensions, as well as the early morning hours that the hijacker used to make his move, the Garibaldi account was free to carry out his swath of chaos for hours before SBAllen finally put a stop to it around mid-day. After the Garibaldi account was finally locked, restoring the damage done was nearly instantaneous. However, a few signs of his rampage remained, notably a missing Message Board Announcements topic.
