Jesusaurus Rex is a term used as a response to news that is actually old and already known. Prior to its usage, old news was acknowledged with comments about the dinosaurs becoming extinct or Jesus dying. The phrase combines both, with the term being a mixture of "Tyrannosaurus Rex" and "Jesus". Other variations of this are: "Jesus is riding a dinosaur!".
