KOS List

The KOS List is a list of users who are currently under Kill On Sight status or have been at one point in time. The first official version of the list was released when rancid milk socially engineered a moderator using a stolen instant messenger account into revealing the KoS list over messenger. This first list showed 3 levels of KoS and was released in late 2002. Level 1 KoS was regular full blown KoS. Level 2 KoS was Name KoS and Level 3 KoS was a "watch list". The list contained many of the Outboards regulars, such as rancid milk, BRM, TRC, EXE, mazter ace, LAF, Game555 all on either Level 1 or 2. Wowzers who is currently a Sage, was a Level 3 KoS simply because he was a moderator at the Outboards. The levels of KoS were revised sometime after 2003. The three levels of KoS in descending order currently are from most severe to least; Class 1 KoS users are actively hunted down by the moderation staff and all of their accounts are terminated when found; Class 2 KoS users are suspended and banned only if caught violating the ToS and the moderators are instructed only to suspend the offending account; and Class 3 KoS users are suspended only if they "misbehave or reveal their identity." The first screenshots of the list came in May 2003 when General Crap and duckduckduck hacked GalFord and took screenshots of the mod boards and several moderator functions. Any users that have not been confirmed in mod only screenshots taken from various moderator hackings have no real way to prove their authenticity, we are simply making educated guesses. The most well known "UnOfficial KoS List" was created by rancid milk and posted on MBH.
