The Palace of Wisdom, formerly the World Wrestling Entertainment Games Social Board, is a Special Social Board on GameFAQs. The topics on it range from wrestling itself to individual poster's social problems and even to random insanity. The board is currently made up of a tightly-knit group of users (ranging in the thirties or so) who all generally get along with each other but sometimes get into arguments that usually result in several warnings. It is a revered home to those who post fondly on it.

Origins

The WWEGSB was originally created as the WWFGSB, (World Wrestling Federation Games Social Board) as a social board for every WWF game released. However, with the variable of three different gaming consoles (X-Box, Gamecube and Playstation 2 at the time), the number of games grew drastically, and so more games needed the space of their own social boards. Hence the WWFGSB (now WWEGSB, after the WWF lost a suit against the World Wildlife Fund for the rights to WWF and changed it's name to WWE) was removed from links for every WWF wrestling game; in its place new social boards were created for each single game. The WWEGSB has continued to thrive, although a lot less than when it was actually advertised on GameFAQs.

Name Change

As a result of a topic on Site Suggestions, SBAllen made a topic on July 17th 2008 asking the members of the board whether they would prefer a name change. The majority voted yes; and another topic was on September 19th 2008 to determine what the new name would be. There were three choices; Palace of Wisdom, The GSB, and WWE Games *Social* (No name change). On November 18th 2008, SBAllen changed the name of the board to the name chosen by it's users, "Palace of Wisdom."
