The Pond is a private board on GameFAQs. It was created on October 14, 2009, after the first private board contest of 2009. It is owned by Pondos, and its only co-admin is Prince Trunks. When the board was first created it was active, usually with topics about the board's future. However, activity quickly began to dwindle, with many users completely abandoning The Pond; even Pondos began to post less. After a long period of inactivity, eventually Prince Trunks was appointed co-admin and he soon invited more users and began a series of .5kompetitions; topics where users aim to get awards for certain posts without double posting. As of July 30, 2010, The Pond remains small yet active, with invites open to users who get recommended in a certain topic.

The userbase refers to themselves mainly as Tadpoles, with some preferring other things.

Rules

1. This is a social board, as in, talk about whatever the hell you want. However, please keep any ****ty fads to PotD, or wherever else you might have come from.

2. No trolling. You can talk about how amazingly you trolled this one kid; that's fine. But don't troll other members of this board on this board (unless it's really funny. And I mean really damn funny. Not what you think is funny (because it probably isn't funny), but what's going to actually brighten up my day.

3. No drug topics.They are not fun. In fact, just try to obey all of the GFAQs rules, although I won't be so strict about all of them, or borderline violations..

4. Feel free to recommend other users to invite. Just make sure that they're actually quality posters. As far as I know, there's no limit on the amount of users allowed on any one board, and I won't impose one. I'll set up a suggestion topic in which you can suggest users, as well as whatever else you feel the board needs.
