Tiger8191 participated in the GameFAQs Interview series. Their Interview can be found here.

tiger8191 is a former moderator of GameFAQs. He was one of the better known moderators on the site as well as one of the most vocal. Although the biting sarcasm and frequent surliness for which tiger is known has led to him being disliked by some users, those same qualities have led to admiration from others, as his arguments with various trolls on MBH have been a source of perverse entertainment. He was promoted to Lead Moderator on October 16th, 2005. He retired and reverted back to Idol on March 11th, 2006, but returned as a Veteran Moderator on August 18th, 2006.

On May 21st 2007, he stepped down from his moderator position permanently, claiming he had 'issues with some things' regarding the moderation side of GameFAQs and he no longer wanted to be 'associated with the mod staff for [his] own reasons'. His account has since reverted to Ancient status.

tiger8191 runs the private board KGB (board number 818), one of the more exclusive private boards on GameFAQs. The board is commonly thought of as an MBH social board, although the majority of KGB users no longer post on MBH at all.

tiger8191 is around 40 years old, and interests are known to include cooking, playing poker, and working on his VW GTI.

Trivia

  • The numbers in tiger8191's name comes from his favourite hockey players: Miroslav Satan (81) and Sergei Fedorov (91).
  • tiger8191 was the subject of one of the most elusive impersonation attempts. The imp account was tiger9181. This account is not to be confused with tiger_8191, which was often called an impersonator but is actually an alternate account created by the real tiger8191.
