Preamble
At WikiFAQs, we take your privacy very seriously--except Drunky, he's sellling your email to Viagra spammers as you read this (kidding!). Now for the serious stuff, below is the WikiFAQs privacy policy.
Right to modify
This policy may be modified at any time, so if it is a concern to you, please check it regularly. You will always find the date that the policy was last updated at the top of this page.
Collected information
WikiFAQs does not collect any more information about you than what its MediaWiki software requests and what is recorded in a typical Apache server log.
Release of information
Aside from extraordinary exceptions, WikiFAQs will never share or make public any of your private information (i.e. your email address and IP address). Exceptions are as follows:
1. Where WikiFAQs is required by law to release information.
2. If a user repeatedly and maliciously disrupts WikiFAQs, personal information on this offending user may be released in a complaint to his or her ISP.
3. Where the release of personal information is required to protect the safety of WikiFAQs, its users or the general public.
Public information
When you contribute to WikiFAQs, your username and the date and time of submission are publicly recorded. In addition, your username is available for anyone to see on the site's user list. Because of this, it is not advisable to use private information in your username, unless you're certain that you want anyone to be able to see it. Also, realize that any contributions you make to WikiFAQs are public and may be reused under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License 1.2.
Unauthorized access
It is the responsibility of the individual user to protect his or her account from unauthorized access. You are advised to choose a strong password and to keep it secure by not sharing it with others or using it at other websites. WikiFAQs is not responsible for unauthorized access to accounts or personal information.
Deletion policy
Once created, user accounts will not be deleted, however, if they contain unauthorized personal information, they may be renamed. Similarly, contributions to WikiFAQs will only be permanently deleted if they contain unauthorized personal information. To request the renaming of a user account or permanent deletion of a contribution, you may send an email to admin@wikifaqs.net
